A-Track Forum Guidance & Rules

Postby Administrator » Thu Sep 13, 2012 8:05 pm

The purpose of the A-Track Forum is to discuss and expand the knowledge relating to the A-Track program and, ultimately to guide the further development of A-Track itself. To that end, users are invited to post under the following topics in the relevant part of the forum :

General comments on the usefulness, or otherwise, of the functions provided by A-Track
Comments or discussion of how particular operations should, or can, be performed
Difficulties in installing, connecting to your NCE command station, or using the program, or where operation could be easier or simplified
Questions on how to use A-Track in particular situations, or with particular types of NCE equipment or decoders from other manufacturers
Suggestions for improvement or changes in specific options, functions, or operations
Any other topics directly pertaining to the use and future development of A-Track

When, and when not, to use the Forum
If you believe you have found a bug or error in A-Track then it is probably better to use the Support page and send in a Problem Report. If you are not quite sure, then by all means post details in the Questions area of the forum to see if other users have encountered the same problem.

The same applies if you wish to request a new feature in A-Track – you can either submit a Support Request directly via the Support page, or start a discusiion in the forum to see if other users share your opinion.

Difficulties in the use of NCE command stations or handheld cabs, including their interconnection and wiring to the track should be directed to more relevant forums elsewhere, unless the problem is directly linked to some aspect of A-Track. You can, of course, raise such topics in the General area of the forum for discussion and help in finding where to go for a fix.

Problems relating to the use of A-Track with specific USB-to-Serial adapters can certainly be raised also in the General area, but might not get resolved here, since A-Track is not guaranteed to work with every type of adapter.

Signatures may contain up to a maximum of 255 characters of text. Text sizes should be between 75% and 100% (small and normal size). Images or smilies are not allowed in signatures.

You may not link to warez, pornographic, political, racist or other similar sites which may cause offence to other users. Links are included in signature size limits.

Users abusing these rules will be warned.

Users are permitted to utilise a gallery avatar or to link to one of their own. Users abusing these rules will be warned and/or may lose their avatar privileges.
